Largest Scooter Rally to Ever Hit These Parts is Upon Us!
From October 29th to November 1st the City of New Orleans will be overtaken by hundreds of scooterists from all over the country for the Fourth Annual Down and Dirty Scooter Rally (Put on by the Jedi Knights Scooter Club of New Orleans).
This will be an incredible weekend of fun and scooter socializing. Vespa New Orleans is extremely excited to once again sponsor the Saturday morning Pow Wow before the all day rides. For more information visit the link below! Hope to see everyone there!

On Tuesday September 14 Vespa New Orleans moved it's entire inventory of scooters to higher ground in the Energy Centre parking garage downtown. With the threat of,catagory four, Hurricane Ivan getting closer and closer we did not want to take any chances. Moving the scooters from downtown and then back to the shop took two whole days. On the bright side we got to give the shop a great cleaning! |

On October 22nd Paramount Pictures presents the remake of Alfie. The story of a 60's womanizer who questions his existence. Jude Law and his Vespa star in this flick.
Piaggio and Paramount Pictures have teamed up to promote the movie. Both E! Entertainment Channel and Yahoo will be giving away a custom Alfie Granturismo. In addition, Vespa New Orleans might sponsor a Vespa Night at a special Alfie showing. Stay tuned for details!

Piaggio Typhoon and Vespa PX150

The Rumors are true. Vespa is scheduled to release the PX150 before the end of the year. The P series, which has been around since 1976, is a 150cc, Four Speed Manual 2-Stroke. This final run of the P series will last until the end 2005 when new EPA law will bad 2-stroke engines. More information in next month's newletter! |

On Saturday September 11th the New Orleans Vespa Association lended a helping hand to the Crescent City Classic's Crescent City Connection Road Race. The club met at Vespa New Orleans then headed over to the base of the carpool lane of the Crescent City Connection. Escorted by the Bridge Police, the club received their water table assignments at the westbank's Oakwood Mall.

Once on the bridge, the club manned three water stations and enjoyed the incredible views of the city. After the race the club headed to the after race party at TwiRoPa to do the man the beer booth. What a fun day!
In addition to manning the water station, Vespa New Orleans carried the race photographer on the back of the new Piaggio X9 500.
The relationship with the Crescent City Classic/Bike New Orleans groups and Vespa New Orleans continues to grow. Look for more events like this in the near future!
