| This 15-hour course is designed for beginning motorcyclist emphasizing the special skills and mental attitude necessary for navigating traffic. An initial 3-hour classroom session is followed by (two) 5 hour riding sessions held on Saturday and Sunday with an additional 2 1/2 hours of classroom work after the first range session has been completed. Classroom sessions usually begin between 5PM & 6PM Friday evening and end by 5PM Sunday, however, schedules may vary. The training motorcycles are 250cc or smaller. Students under 18 will require parental permission | This 5-6 hour course is for the motorcyclist who wants to hone their mental and physical skills. The course includes on-range discussion of techniques for managing risks traction and increasing visibility. The range exercises practice cornering, braking, and swerving techniques using student owned motorcycles. Courses are usually held on a Saturday or Sunday 8AM-4PM. Motorcycle license and street legal motorcycle required. |
Louisiana's first and only certified MSF Scooter School in Louisiana and is one of only ten in the U.S. MSF Scooter School I is an entry level, learn to ride scooter training and education course. It is designed to help scooterests enhance their skills and learn important street riding strategies. Scooter School I is a five hour course consisting of 10 ridind exercises and two safety discussions. The objectives of Scooter School I includes the following: safety, awareness, idenifying peronal abilities and scooter capabilities and developing strategies to help identify and manage risk. Upon completion of this course, you should be able to demonstrate proper braking skills, avoiding hazards and obstacles, making tight turns, and using proper lane usage. Scooters will be furnished by Crescent City Motorcycle Training.
